Games where you felt truly ALONE

On any system. For me it would be Metroid Prime. Man itreally felt likei was alone, on an alien world, with no one but myself to rely on....

Dang that was more atmospheric than bioshock and stalker combined.

sorry for not mentioning a pc game because i only started midway this year.

I'd say F.E.A.R. because even if you saw someone from your team or if they radioed you, w/e, it's not like they actually helped you, I felt like I did everything myself, and bieng alone in that environment wasn't exactly...a good thing lol... Hell almost all those special forces guys that were supposed to help you and at the beggining were all like "OMG WE ARE SO AWESOME, LETS GO **** STUFF UP!" died in the first 10 minutes, and you found there bodies everywhere throughout the game.

Well in Doom 3 you were kind of alone, but at the same time you had all these squishy bears around you so it didn't really felt isolated.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R sometimes had this alone feeling (it was even worse when your ammo was low in those damn labs). Also Fallout had this feeling to it

I would say "The Elder Scrolls" chapters...

"Morrowind" and "Oblivion" are two of my favourite games,but i always had a feeling of solitude with these two "Rpg" titles.

I was just about the say that.

The sequence in Operation: Flashpoint where you had to cross this long distance at dawn with heavy enemy patrols come to mind. Made me feel really alone.

Id have to say Max Payne 2

In Bioshock when you end up in Rapture, all you have is a wrench, a radio, and the unknown all around you with monsters lurking just around the corner...

Also in Myst when you first get on the island. There is so many landmarks, and nobody around. It feels like somebody is watching you from afar... very creepy.

Also the mines in Episode 2 very claustraphobic. biggest_loser

yeah, i thought so too. outstanding game though

as far as feeling alone, i'd have to say half-life 1 takes it

Lost Planet, Duke Nukem, Doom, Silent Hill

STALKER, Morrowind, Oblivion.

STALKER I felt alone most of the time, even when near other friendly NPCs. In the TES games I felt alone when wandering around in the wilderness or in a tomb.

Back when I played WoW.

Walking alone for miles on end... >_> What a boring game that was.
