Games With Best Atmosphere and Gameplay Mechanics?

Hey,

I am looking for very atmospheric games with top notch gameplay mechanics. The ones that come to my mind are:

• Max Payne 2
• BioShock
• Baldur's Gate II
• Diablo
• Fallout
  
• Warcraft III
• GTA: SA
• GTA IV
• Might & Magic VI
• The Witcher
• Company of Heroes

Haven't played all of those, but Bioschock definitely has an excellent atmosphere. The gameplay is just fine (its a FPS, so can't really mess up) and it has some RPG elements in the mix.

At some point and time you should play all of those, but for now at least get Bioschock.

Cryostasis, the Riddick games, Necrovision, King's Bounty.

To be honest I get where you're going with this. People need to stop talking about Kotor 2 etc. its getting annoying when I start a recommendations thread and half the recommendations people make are games before 2006.polarwrath11

That game was so much fun, but incredibly hard. That game is also what lead me to start my first 40k space marine army of Blood Angels lol.
