Depending on how good the video card is, you may have to go back to.. pre-2005 games at least. Maybe even pre-2003. That's if you want a clean 60fps.

Quake 3, Jedi Knight 2, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games, Half Life 2.. COD2 and COD4.. Unreal Tournament games.. Halo.. GTA3/SA, Mafia..

Just about any game either based on the Quake 3 engine or the Source engine should run fine without looking too bad. I'd just look at Gamespot's top games of all time and limit it to some the older ones.

Don't get me wrong, you can probably try out Doom 3 or Quake 4, but I'd rather max out an older game than play a somewhat recent game on medium or low settings.

I have a couple I can recommend - low reqs n all: Cryostasis: The Sleep of Reason Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast Freedom Fighters Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Try it) Far Cry Max Payne FEAR Amnesia: The Dark Descent S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Tribes 2 Metal Gear Solid Recommendation outside of DMC style games: Bastion Unfortunately, there aren't too many games on the PC that are like DMC that would NOT kill your computer but you could always download the demo and try it out.

The mount and blade series is another good game with low requirements. You can even run it in DX7 if you have to. TF2 also has a low graphics option.
