I played Beta of Team fortress 2, must be 1 of the best games i have ever played. But im to afraid to buy it. When i run TF2 in a internet cafe. I find barely any games with good ammount of players and connection. No1 plays it, it seems...
And i have to buy Portal and HL2 episode 2 to get it, and my computer cant handle 2/3 of the games in that box(not old enough to buy online).

Tons of people play it. When I search for 2fort servers I get hundreds of servers. That on 2fort alone. Theres the other 5 maps plus all the custom maps. Go buy it.
Same for me, sadly. The last singleplayer game that made me play for more than 30 minutes/1 hour at a time was System Shock 2, and maybe the witcher. Im going to start playing fallout 1 and 2 soon, i hope i get addicted. And if that fails too, well ill play soase and see if that works. No game can do that with me. I am just not that intrested in games anymore, not like I used to. When I was a little younger I could play for a couple of hours yes, but now after about an hour I just want to stop playing and do something else.

TF2 for sure. I'm playing right now. I've been playing for the last four hours.
But I think the award has to go to Sins of a Solar Empire. I've had it five days and I've already clocked up somewhere between 40 and 55 hours - and I don't usually play more than 4-5 hours a day in total, so It's super rare that I ever give one game more than a couple hours. It's pretty wild.
Sins and TF2. Life is good.
Let's see. BF2 used to, but it lost some of its appeal in that respect and now I don't feel so compelled to continue playing when I do get back into it now and then. BF2142, however, continues to have a positively drawing effect on me. There's something about it that just feels like it's easier to get in and play.
There's also Oblivion. I haven't played it in ages, but everytime I've ever picked it up again, I got lost in the experience. The first time I played it is probably the longest time I've been addicted to a single game and nothing else (a couple months; totally unheard of for me since I like to switch things up and play a little of this game for a while, a little of that game for a while, and so on).
Diablo 2 keeps me pretty hooked whenever I get into it. I do get bored sometimes and play in short bursts when I'm trying to level up for a coming conflict (damn you, Duriel, you impossible bastard!), but other than that, I get pretty involved with it.
I get really addicted to DoW: Dark Crusade's skirmish when I start playing it. I just looove turtling, and it's very possible in this game against medium AI (gets pretty difficult if I ramp it up higher than that, though). So I turtle, turtle, turtle to my heart's content. Add a full race mod that has the heroes mod built into it, and it gets even better as I let my defensive forces get stronger and stronger after each wave.
Whenever I start playing a Myst game... well, it doesn't last as long as some of the games above, but I get so very enthralled by the experience, I absolutely don't want to play any other game until I've played all the way through. The idea of interrupting my playthrough with the experience of another game is about as appealing to me as trying to stop peeing once you've started. It just feels soooo good to keep on, and soooo bad to stop.
I just recently got done with System Shock for my first time. It was rather addictive for about 85% of the game, then the last two levels left something out and the game became somewhat ho-hum from then on. Still, the majority of it was fantastic, so I've got to include it, as well.
Then, of course, there's Crysis, the most solid FPS in the history of FPS gaming (to me, of course). So hard to put it down once I start a playthrough.

FEAR: MP before all of the hacks.
Crysis MP before all the hacks.
Final Fantasy VII
GalCiv2 is the only game I would play hours and hours of.AlmostUndead
I agree...GC2 is awesome ! Loved to play that game hours on end.
Currently it's Supreme Commander that is taking up all my time.
Others to mention are DoW : DC and Civ IV............8)

Quake 3. Used to play a lot of q4, sometimes topping at 12hrs a day, so much fun. Now though I try to get about 5hrs a day in quake 3, I still have a lot of catching up to do. So really I should be playing 8hrs a day.
But I dunno lately its been hard to play any games for long, I really enjoying playing, but i just feel like I'm never in the mood even though i am, just not physically. Stinks too, cause I would really want to play, but i feel like if I'm not playing at my best I dont want to play, or i dont want to develope bad habits by playing the maps wrong, then again though not playing hurts me just as much. Heh, this can be a rather personal problem though. But hey, I still enjoy Quake and its the only game that has really kept my attention. I spend hours watching demos some days. I just cant seem to stop playing either.=D
So ya, 1v1 Quake 3(some q4 too), is pretty much my life. =)
For me it's either neverwinter nights 2 mask of the betrayer, I just keep playing it since I started a new game with my new character (Had another character before that I haven't completed the game with) and now I'm just hooked on the story and keep on playing it. It the same with tf2, I just so fun!
For me, it would be TF2, DOD:S, CS:S, and WC3. But WarCraft 3 is mainly the one that makes me look at the clock and say "WOA! Where'd the last 3 hours go?!?!" ;)Forerunner-117
Those are the kinda games I love, the ones that just make you go "oh man, I should have dinner....."
Back when I played WoW, I could easily sit down and have an 6-10 hour serious gaming session. Wake up, get on computer, WoW, eat, sleep. Yeah, I was hardcore ='(-Xcalibur-
Yeah I remember doing the exact same thing the Summer when Diablo 2 came out. I remember I would almost always showed up late to my football practices. Definitely learned the hard way to play in moderation.
