Then you look back some five years later as today's mid range PCs could play those games.

I played G-Police recently and looked at the reviews which complained about high requirements. This was sort of funny because low-end onboard graphics can handle it now.

For what it was, I though Titan Quest had pretty high requirements. My two 6800's that I had at the time could hardly keep up with it.

Crysis, i guess maybe not minimum requirements, but to get the best looks (which i imagine is what they wanted you to do) so need a supermachine.

pretty much all my other games played fine.

Lost Planet was the only game I bought that I thought had insanely high system requirements. I think it recommended a 8800 for a console port...

Doom 3, Half-life 2, Crysis. I remembered BF2 required lots of RAM, 512mb minimum to be exact.

It still ran like crap on my old 8800GTS 320mb, even in DX9 mode.

ya its not a very well optimized game for PC. It runs great on my PC but when theirs alot of stuff going on my screen it slows down a bit.

Titan Quest for me. I had a crappy dell with a 64MB card that couldn't even play it. Then I got a new comp and played using the intergrated POS with low settings while I waited for my 8600GT to come in. Now I can max it. :)
