I may pick up some new headphones for gaming. I don't need a mic and my budget is under $300. I have a set of Audio-technica, but I've never liked the way they fit. Any suggestions?

Massive thread which should help you. I have the Beyerdynamic DT990 Premium myself, and it's a great headphone comfort and bass wise, but the treble might be too much for you, it's actually borderline too much for me and I'm considering changing them because of this. Some people think it's great though, depends on your hearing.
At this price point, don't forget to include an amp. $300 pair of headphones with out any D/A conversion or amplification would be a waste!
Spend $200 on the headphones and get a corresponding $100 amp/dac.
Astro A30/A40
Astro makes some great headsets, and has been a popular choice specifically among gamers in recent years. The $199 retail A30 and $249 retail A40 sound systems sound great, both come with removable or retractable microphones, and sport an external mix-up that sits between your headset and your sound source to amplify your audio, whether you're listening to music, playing video games, or sitting in a video conference or internet call, you're guaranteed solid sound and voice. Depending on whether you use the cables or the mixamp, you can connect an Astro headset to your computer either via USB or 3.5mm jacks, and the microphone can be attached or detached as necessary. Bonus: the magnetic tags on the ears are customizable to suit your style.
[QUOTE="kraken2109"][QUOTE="Wolfetan"]Probably not bassy enough for gaming Mad Lust Envy's gaming guide begs to differ and I've heard everybody else RAVE about them for gaming. It's good for picking up details because it's for mixing.AKG K702 with a FiiO E10.
Wolfetan
Fun: 6/10 (Decent. There is SOME fullness to the old K701, though it is ultimately a sterile, and highly analytical headphone unless paired up with a very warm amp.)MadLustEnvyI'm not saying they're bad headphones (I actually want to buy them) but many people want bass in games.
