do not be a fool and buy laptop like me. they are slower and more expensive, and i still needed a cooler for it, so it wasn't portable at all. buy desktop.

Heavy-duty gaming is always best left to desktops. Far better price-to-performance ratio and more versatility if you don't need mobility. And if you do need mobility, you can always get a used Tablet PC or a netbook or something like that. No, they won't be very capable gaming-wise, but I'd rather have a seperate desktop computer and mobile computer that fulfill their niches better than a mobile workstation that costs as much as both, but isn't as powerful or expandable as the desktop and significantly less portable (heavier/bulkier) than a Tablet PC or netbook (not to mention likely having much less battery life and much more heat output). Also, I have a feeling that having a weak sauce mobile computer won't impede you much for gaming if there's a good means of remotely controlling your gaming desktop at home through the Internet. There's supposedly a service called StreamMyGame that exists just for this purpose. Also, you could compare it to OnLive, but with one key difference-it's YOUR infrastructure, with YOUR games being run on YOUR computer.

well if they have the exact same specs, I would choose the laptop becasue it is smalller, but it would cost more.
