For a while I've switched back and forth between consoles and PC, but I've recently decided to go more or less PC exclusive (given that console games have been lackluster for a while).

My television is roughly 20 feet away from my computer, and has USB, VGA, S-video, and obviously, HDMI ports. I'm using a GTX460 on my computer.

Would it simply be a matter of finding a long enough HDMI cable + the appropriate adapters, or is there a more minimal (or even wireless), way of doing it?

Cheaper would be better, obviously. :3

Why can't you just move your PC near your TV, when you want to game on it? That's what I do, I just have a spare HDMI cable plugged into the amp, for when I feel like playing a racer on the plasma.

you actually offer a good question there is a wireless way galaxy has a gtx 460 and 560ti that both offer wireless connectivity to an adapter that simply goes in an HDMI slot. however its range is well within what an hdmi cable can do so going that way isnt all that efficient. cable is and will always be (while your alive) better than wireless.

this being said you could use a wireless keyboard, mouse and xbox controller if you so choose.
