After much research, here is the final build and an OS (Windows 7), mouse and keyboard is included. I used NCIX and used price match with the help of shopbot. I also don't want to build the PC myself, so I'm having NCIX assemble it for me.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Quad Core Processor 3.2GHZ AM3 8MB Cache 125W Retail Box - $169.33

PC Assembly and Testing with 1 Year Limited NCIX System Warranty (PRE-CONFIG WIN. OS If Purchased) - $41.09

G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL Ripjaws PC3-12800 4GB 2X2GB DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9-24 Core i5 1.5V Memory Kit - $93.91
Windows 7 Home Premium Edition 64BIT DVD OEM - $99.99

LG GH22NS50 Black 22X SATA DVD Writer OEM - $21.15

Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB SATA2 7200RPM 16MB 8.9MS 3.5IN NCQ Hard Drive OEM 3YR MFR Warranty - $49.99

ASUS M4A77TD ATX AM3 DDR3 AMD770 SB710 PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 3PCI IDE 6SATA Sound GBLAN Motherboard - $72.48

MSI GeForce GTX 460 Fermi Cyclone OC 725MHZ 1024MB GDDR5 Dual DVI Mini-HDMI DX11 PCI-E - $254.99
(it comes with Just Cause 2)

OCZ Z-SERIES 650W 80+ Silver Certified 24PIN ATX 12V Afc Power Supply W/ 120mm fan - $64.06

Coolermaster CAC-T05 Centurion 5 Aluminum ATX Tower Case 5X5.25 1X3.5 4X3.5INT SILVER-BLACK No PS - $52.90

Logitech Wave Keyboard Black USB with Windows Media Keys - $29.99

Logitech MX518 Gaming Grade Optical Mouse 1600DPI USB SILVER-BLACK - $53.82

Total comes down to about $995

Will all my parts work well together? Do I have a good build that would be able to last me a while on playing PC games at high settings?

Oh and right now my monitor connects to my graphics card using VGA. It also has a DVI-D port. Will my video card be able to connect by VGA? If not, will it provide DVI-D cables? Which one looks better, VGA or DVI-D?

DVI will give a higher resolution than VGA.

I'm only going to play on 1400x1050 which is my monitors native resolution. At that res, would there be graphical differences?

You may see a difference in a side-to-side comparison, but it's not crippling. I wouldn't worry about it.

Well I still have the option of using DVI-D anyway so thats not the important issue. I'm more concerned how good my gaming PC is, how long it will last me at that resolution and if all my parts work together well.

This.

Unless you have a garbage/damaged vga cable, it will look exactly the same.

Alright, but what about the other issues I have? I'm more concerned how good my gaming PC is, how long it will last me at that resolution and if all my parts work together well.

For that price of the HDD, I'd go for the Seagate 7200.12. It's slightly faster than the Caviar Black even, and it has the same 3 yr warranty as that Caviar Blue. You really can't go wrong with it. It's on sale at NCIX right now, too.

Also...

Cheaper price on the MSI 460

Faster DVD drive for cheaper

Cheaper price for the X4 955

The Elite 430 for cheaper

There. That should shave a few bucks off your build.

Thanks alot. I don't really get why you suggested that case though. Its not the one I was getting. Is it a better case? Oh and I can't really price match the video card without loosing my free copy of Uncharted 2 and I'd rather have that than save 10 dollars.

I'm also concerned how good my gaming PC is, how long it will last me at a resolution under 1600x1200 (more specifically 1400x1050) and if all my parts work together well.

The Elite 430 is the newest addition to the Elite series by Cooler Master. If you ask me, it is better, particularly because of the 120mm front intake instead of the 80mm one on the Centurion 5. That, and the fact that it has added expandability in terms of fans and support for cards as long as the 5970.

As for the build, it looks to be one nice build if you ask me. Although if it were up to me, I'd use all those extra dollars you saved and get the ASUS M4N75TD motherboard instead. That way, you can add another GTX 460 along the way when you feel your computer is lacking a bit in the graphics area.

WOW. Thanks alot for that motherboard. I'll also take your advice and get your suggested case.
