hey everyone, im new to pc gaming but im having trouble deciding on a laptop for gaming. I've heard alot of different things about different processors but which ones would handle games like half-life 2 and team fortress 2? my price range for the laptop is $500 or less so if anyone can point some laptops out with these processors or maybe a link it would be much appreciated. thanks in advance

Basically all current laptop processors can handle those games (not netbook processors however).

You won't be playingmuch with a $500 laptop- laptops are really gimped by their video processing and a $500 laptop will have a very weak processor.

I'd suggest spending a bit more or be prepared to be dissapointed with the gaming performance.

im only looking to play half=life 2 and team fortress 2, games of that caliber or games that require less power such as terraria, so i don't really want to spend more money on a laptop that will run superior games i wont be playing. thank you for your input, i appreciate it

it is worth it so long as portability isn't very important to you. It's a 17" laptop, weighs over 7 lbs and has terrible battery life. On the bright side it will definitely handle those games you mentioned well.
