Alright, so... currently I've got a Dell 24" widescreen monitor for my desktop, and a 37" LCD tv for my 360, Wii, and PS3... but the two just aren't big enough.

For overall gaming on a projector, what would be my best bet? I'd imagine at least SOME of you use projectors (and have tested the gaming capabilities)... and I'm looking for something no higher than $1500 (Dell credit).. right now I'm looking at the Optoma series of projectors:

Any suggestions for a good universal (PC+console) gaming projector?

Well.. my brother has an optoma hd73 i believe, i hear some still prefer the hd72 over it so you're in good shape there. In any case, the 360 looks excellent over component, my ps3 looked excellent over hdmi, and I'd expect no less from a computer. At that budget though expect to be using it low lighting, and don't forget to think about about some of the other costs. - long cables - a screen - roof mount (if required)

Hmm.. wasn't finding too much of what I liked.. but for any that are interested, the Panasonic PT-AX200U is an AWESOME projector. Extremely bright (light coming in from a hallway light and from my window behind the blinds -- still perfect view. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking to switch to a projector.... only drawback -- doesn't work with the "universal" ceiling mounts. Only $1300 on projectorpeople.com, too. :)

I'll second that, the AX200U is absolutely amazing. ProjectorPeople.com happens to be running a sweepstakes to give away a few: http://www.projectorpeople.com/panasonic-pt-ax200u/sweepstakes.asp
