I'm sure you get a ton of these, but I'm looking to be PC master race. Budget is not a problem -> Help me build a computer for gaming that will last for a long time, what do I need?
What I was offered in a pre-built (Im sure building myself is cheaper, and I can if need be)

I'm a total newb, so I'm just listing what they wrote on the spec list, can't go anymore specific

Vision Silent Phantom tower/case
Intel DP67DE-B3 motherboard
Intel® Core™ i7-2600 4x3.40GHz
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
8GB DDR3 RAM DualChannel
GeForce GTX560Ti 1GB
Seagate 1000GB S-ATA3 6Gb/s (7200rpm)
Scythe CPU cooler
Seasonic 600W 80+ power supply

so what are you wanting something highend or an absolute top of the line system? It all really depends on how much you want to spend, but something with those specs listed will last a long time, but never ever get an intel motherboard, asus and gigabyte make great boards.

If budget isnt a problem, you can do alottt better then that. However if you dont list a set amount and only list you want bleeding edge tech, the amount of $ might be beyond what you were expecting.

Well I guess I just want to be able to play coming games like BF3 and Guild Wars 2 with lag free framerate.

I guess I could set budget at around 230 dollars, how far will that get me?

If you really want a gaming PC to hold a long time you will save some cash for a upgrade two years from now.

(spend 2/3 of the cash right now, save 1/3 for a graphic exchange 1.5-2 years from now.)

This is what i would get if I had a large enough budget (today):

A 2600k

A SLI/CF capable board to go with the CPU.

8GB ram.

A GTX570/HD6970 or stronger card, this is the most crusial point when it comes to gaming, I would rather buy one strong card than a dualGPU card or SLI/CF,

becasue when you want to upgrade later on you can buy another one to SLI/CF on the capable board you opt. for.

A Quality 850w 80+(silver/gold) PSU capable to run atleast two of the cards i opt. for down the road, a hx850 is solid, if mo'ney isn't a issue at all i'd even consider the corsair 1000w's PSU's.

A large midTower / Fulltower Case, preferably a silent one with sound dampened HDD's/sides and a cuple extra fanslot's so you can add cooling after your preference. corsair 800D could be the one? Depending on the case i would exchange/fill most fanslots with 120mm/140mm Nexus, they're very silent compared to just about any other fan regardless of price.

I would buy a Solid CPU cooler and preferably a Air cooler, the Noctua 14 is a good choise.

Buying som plastic stipes and some sound dampening material is a extra opt. that i always do use with a new build.

spend 1300, save 1000 for upgrades. (1300 will nearly give you what i mentioned in my post.)

Well no-one can help you unless you say what currency, because pc parts are drastically cheaper in the US.

i7 2600K

GTX 580 SLI

8GB DDR3 Ram

Gigabyte P67A-UD7

1000W PSU

HAF X

Don't think it would be the wisest route, as you can match cheaper parts to get similar performance. But this would be a killer.

Of course, if you have the budget, water is best. But not everyone is willing to deal with the bit of maintence of water.
