Gears of war act restoration

I just got gears of war for the pc. It asks u to create a profile for the game to save. So I did that but eventually I wanted to play online so I created a new one just with windows live gold. My saved games were erased and now all my acts are locked. How do I get to the locked acts without playin the game all over again?

It may be profile related or it may be the general save game bug that is among the many problems Gears for Windows is having:
