Well , it ran nicely for me on DX9 max with some AA at 50-60 fps. Also I don't remember facing any bugs or crashes whatsoever, so some slowdowns 3-4 times during the entire game

The bugs seem to be system-specific from what I've experienced, as I played through the unpatched retail copy perfectly fine on my rig. As for how well it runs, well, I played through the entire thing on my laptop with everything cranked (did this game even support DX10? Pretty sure it was DX9 only) @ 1440x900 and it ran a consistant 30fps, which I feel is pretty bloody good for a laptop considering how great it looked.

Ran great on my setup all maxed out, and I can't recall it ever crashing on me.

As the above poster said, I don't think it has DX10.

Yep the Unreal 3 Engine doesnt support AA in DX9 only DX10 so even though Bioshock doesnt have a AA option run it in DX10 mode then force AA in the control panel.

Oh yes if your PC can run it well its alot smoother then the 360 original which was locked at 30fps. . . also the textures are alot crisper and the overall look of the game crisper and clearer.

You sure?..AA with Unreal Engine 3 seems to work fine in DX9 if you have an advanced control panel utility to enable an AA compatibility mode (i.e. nHancer)

Examples below (Note: I'm on Vista, but ran UT3 in compatibility mode for Windows XP to force DX9)

Unreal Tournament 3 - No Anti-Aliasing

Unreal Tournament 3 - 4x Anti-Aliasing

AA compatibility modes aren't perfect, but they work.

It's better than Gears 2, but doesn't have the enhanced physics.

You can ALWAYS enable AA in almost any games that work on Directx, all you need is a video adapter control panel. But U3 has very strong issues with AA. It doesn't work properly(60% of the choppy edges remain), but kills the performance like any other AA.

As for GOW, at first I just maxed out the DX9 settings(I'm running XP) and played like it. seeing I was getting a 45+ FPS, I tried adding up some AA(2X it was, I think). FPS went down to 30, but the game looked almost the same. There was a tiny, but general twitch to realism. But I turned it off again.
