Gears of War PC worth getting?

1. UE3 is generally well optimised; how will it run on my system?

AMD X2 4600

X1950Pro

2GB 800mhz

High/Max settings @ 1440x900? (basically 1280x1024)

2. Are the controls fluid? If possible, I'd like to hear opinions from people who have also got Gears on 360 please. Which controls do you prefer on Gears - PC/360?

3. How many people play Multiplayer? Is it good? Is there plenty of servers?

4. If you dislike Gears, what other FPS would you suggest that I get? CoD4 any good?

am playing it and its really good , i also liked another game called infernal

( check youtube or gametrailers.com , they're a better source to check the games rather than a written review)

if you want Fps you can get crysis , jericho ( its actually good , atmospheric) , timeshift ( butjericho and crysis are much better) , Hl2 ep 2 is really boring

and GoW will work good and smooth on your rig

Only play it if you haven't played it on the 360 yet. Its not a run-n-gun shooter though, so you have to have more patience to play it.

I like the controls on the PC better, but then again I'm a hardcore PC gamer and I only played it for a few hours at a friends house, but still.

It's tooo buggy and glitchey atm, if you don't believe me then visit the forums and see the hundreds of moaning people. What i find weird is i can max UT3 out with a steady 60FPS and it has better graphics than Gears, yet on Gears i get **** loads of stutter and about 24fps. Also gears of war has sooooo many bugs and missing features like no dedicated servers, it's a complete joke, some bugs like getting stuck to the wall havn't been fixed since the 360 launch.

I say wait to see if Epic patch the game, unless you want a buggy experience, cause the single player is worth it but just becomes annoying.

also think about getting battlefield 2

I don't think you're PC will stand up to Crysis real well. GeoW is really fun, I love it in comparison to the 360. The graphics are much crisper, the controls are more fluid (you do have PC controls at your fingertips).
