I would save my money and get something better. But if you really must... 7300GT: $85-$90 6800: $100-$120

Thank you.  If I don't buy one of this video cards, what do you recommend?  I just want an affordable video card that can play most games.

7600GT ($90)
7900GS ($145)

Those budget enough for you? Or are you looking for less? (If you wouldn't mind waiting longer, and spending a little more, you could get an 8600 Ultra (which is far superior to both cards I listed) at $175-$200.

Yeah.  One more question. If I do buy 7600GT, how long will it last? I mean will it easily be outdated?

Hmmm, if it's AGP: a 7800GS, if it's PCI-E, a 7900GS

It's already outdated, by the series 8 Nvidia cards (8800/8600/...)

What screen resolution do you play at? It can handle nearly all games out today, but it is somewhat outdated. You may have to turn down some settings in certain games. (I figured since you were suggesting the 6800 and 7300GT as a possible choice, you weren't exactly interested in cutting edge-- sorry, no offense.)

It still is a great card for the money. You can get two and SLI 'em, for the price.

I have PCI-E.  The 7800GS is out of the question.  7900GS is a bit expensive.  I am looking for a video card under $100.  I am thinking of 7600GT, but I am not familiar with video cards.  I have read some information about 7600GT, but I want to know about your personal opinion about it. Thanx.

Ah, under $100? The 7600GT is your best bet, then.

I am not exactly sure what is my screen resolution, but I have a 19" widescreen monitor.  I haven't been gaming since 2  years ago.  My old computer is almost obsolete that I have to replace plus the price of computers these days are getting cheaper.  I just want to optimize my computer that it will last for a while. Basically, I want a video card that is best suited for my computer specs. If your interested about the specs, I have AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual processor 4200, 1GB PC4200 DDR2 SDRAM, 320 GB, SATA 7200 RPM.  Yeah, I am not looking at a cutting edge computer, so no offence taken.  I just want an optimal computer setup that are just sufficient for basic needs.

Alright. For the most part, your PC is pretty good. The 7600GT is right up your alley. Maybe, down the line, you might want to look into another GB of RAM (while it'll be alright for now, a good amount of new games are requiring 2GB to run smoothly).
