Im wondering if this graphics card is anygood for gaming. I saw this in a computer that is a great deal. Im wondering If this will be enough to play some decent pc games.

Yes it is. I have one, and I can easily play all my games + Call of Duty 4 on highest settings at 1680x1050. Never any slowdown for me.

the 9 series cards are coming soon . the 9600 is only like 160 and its as powerful as 8800

the 8800 gt sells for twice as much, so let's assume his price range allows for a 8600 gt... is it a good buy for him?
