Im looking to upgrade my graphics card from the stock in my machine and I need an affordable option. Would the NVIDIA 7800 series be an ok card?

Or maybe the GeForce 8800 series?

Definately go the 8800GT if you can afford it. It's second only to the 8800GTX. I'm trying to get one myself and am finding it hard, so get in quick as you might have to wait in a queue for a while. At the moment i have a $1600 paperweight!

Dell has them listed a lot cheaper than that (270-320), but who knows when you'll get it. Says 1-2 weeks, but i'd rather wait than pay such inflated prices...
