Geometry Wars PC ($2.50 from Steam)56k=noob

This game is a trip. As this mezmarizing game sucked me in I found myself flying through space and the feeling was pure joy.

It cost me $2.50 for the promotional price. Nice deal.. i just played this game for 3 hours while listening to NIN, this game is addictive in fun way. Highest score yet, 128,500,.. this game is gonna take some work, it gets hard fast..

Wow, I love this game! Thx for the great news, 2.50 is pretty cheap too! I always went to my friends house to play this game, even though he had other games lke GRAW 2 and PGR. Hah, I even considered buying a 360 because of this game....nvm about that now. :)h1dd3n5had0w

I actually got it for free here on my computer right after it got released, now I notice it's only 2.50. That's freaking cheap you know. I got the game on the 360 and I payed 5.

And the game rocks hard.

If you can get to 100,000 without dieing or useing a bomb your doing good, after 100,000 the game gets pretty hard, and you have to stay alive to keep your multiplier...

The game is a lot of fun. Can't go wrong when it's only $2.50. I have it for the 360 and it's very addicting but i just recently got it for my computer and it's still just as good. Miss the achievement markers though since it was pretty intense trying to get some of them on the 360 and added to the fun imo.

If you haven't played this game before i highly recommend it on either the 360 or the pc

My highest scrore was only 650,000 got to 500,000 without losing a life. Are the controls as solid as the 360 version?achilles614

Ya controls are pretty solid. The mouse for aiming feels weird so i just use the keyboard but if memory serves right you can just slap in a 360 controller. So its the same thing just no achievements

Does anybody know how to make the playing field the same as my screen resolution? I mean like I want to see all four corners of the field at once. I've tried locking the aspect and tried different resolutions, but the playing field always seem larger than the resolution.h1dd3n5had0w

You can't actually do that here. It's a fixed view where you can only see part of the gride.

I got my controls setup with the mouse and keyboard combo.

WASD controls the movement and I get a crosshair for my gun. Works out well when you want to shoot all the differnt angles.

I bought it when it came out when it was $10 :( Geometry Wars is an awesome game, but without any kind of online ranking it's fairly pointless. Stack that ontop of not having the retro mode the XBLA version has (which only costs $5) = I got ripped off. $2.50 seems like the right price for what we get. SuperBeast

Yeah, I kind of wish there were online rankings. Maybe they could patch that in at some point. Doesn't seem like it would be that hard to work out.
