Should I get this? or should I wait for the newest CPU from AMD? Is this a solid build?

honestly a good phenom II and up is all you need, 2.8ghz or higher, i have a phenom II 940 at 3.0ghz and it is really all you will need for the next year or two, but when that comes, you can just upgrade your cpu, cause am3 is all one socket.

All it would give you is bragging rights. Unless you do a lot of video editing/encoding it would just be overkill. My good ol' 720BE does all I ask to do just fine.

If you have patience then wait, if you wait you could find these parts cheaper when newer gen products come out.
