Hello everybody, I plan on getting 3x 1080p monitors soonish and I need some advice on what brands and size to get?

Preferably, since im going with multiple monitors with the intention on running all three while gaming, I want to avoid a monitor with a massive bezel. I also would like LED backlights because 3 LCD backlit monitors will suck up juice and get really hot.

As for size, I want 1080p as that would strain my GPU a bit less when running all 3, but I'm not sure what size of a monitor to get. I'm split between a 23" and 24". I have a single 22" 1680x1050 monitor now and I've never been all that impressed by it.

So, any advice? I want to keep the price around $600 for all three monitors. It's my little tax-return gift to myself.

The problem is your requirements make it really hard to meet all of them

I have 3 LCD's and they don't get hot at all. They will suck more power though.

As for size, I want 1080p as that would strain my GPU a bit less when running all 3, but I'm not sure what size of a monitor to get. I'm split between a 23" and 24". I have a single 22" 1680x1050 monitor now and I've never been all that impressed by it.

I have 3 22" and they are a nice size for me. Though I only went with this size because I already had a 22" and wanted to stick with 16:10 aspect ratio and 16:10 24" monitors are way too expensive for me.

I'd go with the 24" over the 23" only for the fact that it is a little bit bigger. :P

No recommendations on models. Mine are Asus however, and they are great.

I like that first monitor, it seemed to perfect. However the response time is 8ms, it needs to be 5. Oh well. I'll figure it out. Thanks for the help.

I'll probably have to cave in on one or more of the requirements. Probably price and backlight...

There are these:

http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VE248H-24-Inch-LED-Monitor/dp/B0043T7FHK/ref=sr_1_6?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1331061037&sr=1-6

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004J6BIJ8/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d0_g147_i7?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=16QTXSKBMRAKNZYNWT70&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846

http://www.amazon.com/Viewsonic-VX2450WM-LED-23-6-Inch-Widescreen-Speakers/dp/B003Y3BJ7S/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1331061326&sr=1-3

The only thing you'll have to compromise on is probably the bezel.

Just search amazon and newegg. You should be able to find nice LED, 24", 2-5ms, monitors for under $200. (like some of the ones I posted)

What's your GPU btw? If it's Nvidia, you won't be able to do a surround, you need SLI for it.

i have the 25" verions on the asus monitor here^ it is a great monitor, but the bezzel doesn't seem that small to me. don't know how it is in relation to most but i would say it's between .5" and 1"

Right now I'm only going to use 2 of the 3 monitors until I build a new PC. I have a GTX 570. Right now I have a 22" Acer 1680x1050 monitor next to a 22" HDTV from Samsung that is 1680x1050 which is connected with a VGA cable using a DVI to VGA connection. The bezel is a good 2 inches and there is about 3 inches of space between the two monitors and one monitor is an inch higher than the other. To make it worse, the VGA connection is poor and the colors bleed from time to time.

I plan on building an SLI/Crossfire rig when ivy bridge comes out, but right now I need an upgrade for these monitors.

This is the kind of bezel I would consider good http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824260037 or this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824260061

"3 LCD backlit monitors" You mean CCFL-backlit LCDs, right? Anyway, at $200 per monitor, you're going to be stuck with cheap TN stuff that's mostly identical save for aesthetics and possibly input options and input lag. The Asus VH236H is a fairly popular gaming monitor around some circles because of its imperceptible input lag. Maybe you'd like them.
