I just got my new psu and gpu from new egg a day or so ago. Thank you to the people who helped me pick it out it was a major jump from the 8500 gt to the 460 gtx. When i got it all im pushed for space in my pc and i was wondering if i got a new case if everything would fit into the new case like my mobo. Im new at building pcs. Should i try to get a new case. Also should i just try to get a new mobo because my current one only has one GPU slot and i was thinking in the future of getting sli.

what case have you got at the moment?

also no point getting a new mobo if it takes the kit you have at the moment, if you SLI in the future, change your mobo at that point imo

ah yeah you may find an improvement buying a new case then, you could always measure yours and then check it against the dimensions of the one you plan to buy. that will give you a good indication of improvement.

I had the same problem a couple of years back when I replaced my PSU and GPU in a shop bought HP, and I bought a new case and never looked back. More room will also improve the cooling

I would suggest getting a mid tower case. How much money are you willing to spend? Try to find a case that offers good airflow and that you like the look of. They have numerous cases over at newegg.

An Antec 200 or Antec DF-35 are good choices. I would upgrade. It looks like your hardware is suffocating in there.

You really need a new case. I was considering upgrading to this one myself:

Great cooling for the price. The DF-30 has blue LED's not white if you prefer blue.

Any of the cases I linked to in my above post will offer more room and better ease of access than your HP case.

TC, if your on a budget and need to get a new case and want room and cooling the Nzxt M59 case would be perfect. Its $55 built well, and can hold the 10" cards. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146058&Tpk=Nzxt%20m59 .

You will most likely need DDR2. I doubt your cpu/mobo is compatible with DDR3. What are your RAM's specs (frequency, timings)? If you don't know download CPUz and it will list the specs of your cpu, mobo, and ram.

The CPU cooler can only be 16cm without the side fan installed. Should be fine otherwise.
