I am going to order some parts for my new pc tomorrow, but I am not shore what should I get for around 1K. Mainly I want to know which motherboard, cpu and ram should I get. The rest of my system is more then ready for an upgrade. Have in mind that the parts costs a bit more in Denmark. Hope you can help me out. P.S.: Know nothing about OC.Setup 1: ~850$
Asus - Commando, Intel P965
Core2Duo (Conroe) E6600 2.4 GHz
Kingston 2x1024 MB DDR2 PC5400 DDR2-667 Setup 2: ~850$
Asus - P5B-V, Intel G965
Core2Duo (Conroe) E6600 2.4 GHz
Corsair - Twin2X 2x1024MB DDR2, PC6400 DDR800The problem is, should I get a cheap motherboard and better RAM or the other way around.
I can get 4 GB DDR2 PC5400 for almost the same price as 2 GB Corsair DDR2 PC6400 (or faster).
I don't want to buy a budget CPU like E6300, 1.866GHz and try to OC it.
Do you have any ideas or maybe a complete new setup, which will be good for me.Everything else: 7900 GTX Extreme Edition (no point in upgrading yet) a very good PSU.
What do you think?

E6300 is my next proc and they hit 3.2ghz+ with ease, but if you don't want to do that then stick with the E6600. Try to find the Asus P5B-Deluxe, it should be cheaper. Go with the Corsair RAM, but if not OCing then it doesn't really matter. I'd save some cash and then buy a new video card since that's most important for games or maybe a new monitor to show off that eye candy :D

I can't see the point in OC'ing the hardware to save money. I have tryied it with almost the same rig as you have and I think the wise choise would be, to get a cheap but good motherboard. One more thing, I have two monitors, 22" and 19" + I have my LCD TV that I use sometimes as a monitor.
