So my Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT has that famous uncorrected Geforce error where it sais "Display Driver mmkkddmm has stopped working" It's gotten so bad not only can i not play games with high graphics my whole computer will freeze now.

So what would be the best video card to go with under $200 bucks

im gonna be playing new vegas.

No Nviddia cards please

id wait lol.. ati hd 6000 line show up in like 4-6 days :P

cards would be cheaper then.

for under 200 okay.. which currency?

us, canadian, australian dollars?

in us:

ati: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161327&cm_re=desktop_video_card-_-14-161-327-_-Product

nvidia: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500173&cm_re=desktop_video_card-_-14-500-173-_-Product

preformance wise the gtx 460 is better but not by a lot.. your welcome to pick your weapon here.. you couldnt be happier with either

canadian prices will probably be the same as above.. and for the land down under:

Wait for the ATI 6xxx series. Even if you're going for under $200, it's worth a look, as well as the price drops that will come. They should be out in a week or two.dreDREb13

i would recomend this also, but of course you'll have to wait to play Fallout, which may not be worth it to you (it would be to me, but i'm use to waiting for games anyway)

Your gonna get all kinds of answers.

Some like ATI and some like Nvidia.

Myself? I have had both kinds of cards, but I just prefer Nvidia personally (I have had issues with ATI cards in the past, still no issues with Nvidia yet, probably just random but yeah).

As others have said, once those new ATI cards come out, the others will go down in price. I am going to get a new graphics card probably in January. No idea what card i will get or what brand, will see when the time comes. Its not like Nvidia or ATI destroys the other.... really cant go wrong with either brand.
