Okay, so I just got a PS3 and already own a 360 and a HDTV and am wondering how to get my PS3 into 720p. As far as I'm aware, the PS3 does not come with any cables to put it into 720p, so It'd be very helpful if someone could tell me which cables I would need to buy (or if I could just use the 360's cables) to get it to 720p. Thanks.

See my post. Link

As far as buying a cable its up to you. Spend the money if you want to, but if you spend $80 you are paying way too much IMO. I found mine here.

Keep in mind that the price of the cable has more to do with the thickness and lenght, but also marketing. Some places will sell a $100 cable that might work just as good as a $40 cable. But if you don't want to spend that much there are cheaper cables that will still be good. Pay attention to that AWG#. The lower the number the thicker the cable and more durrable, also a bit more expensive.
