Before anyone yells about the below mentioned PC not being a gaming PC please remember that I know that but I need constructive input anyway.

System:

IBM P4 2.4GHz

256MB RAM (soon to be 512)

PCI slots only

Question:

Will either the 5200 or the 6200 play Tiger Woods 2007 well?  If the answer is yes then is there a big difference between the 2 cards? Keep in mind that they are both connected to a PCI expansion slot.

Thanks

Well Cowboy you are correct in having limited ability. Your processor is not a serious problem (yet) but RAM, video card, and PSU may cause you a headache. Before you start ENSURE you can disable your onboard video in Bios, some manufacturers left that option out to save at least a penny. CONFIRM that your PSU is at least 300 watts, a 250 may not handle the additional load of a video card. Consider upgrading to at least 1 GB RAM, using 2x 512 MG chips. That will help provide a very stable system. The best choice would be the Geforce FX5200 256MB 128-bit DDR PCI Video Card. It has the best ratings and for your system will be a good upgrade. You will be able to play Tiger Woods 2007 after you upgrade. Most of the new games have some heavy requirements for recommended play and you will not enjoy most of them if you only are at the minimum requirements. Perhaps consider to start saving for a newer computer within the next year or so. My computer still plays almost everything out there at at least medium graphics and most on high with good frame rates but I too am limited by my processor, and AGP slot. A new computer is in my future. Good luck.
