Optimal PC requirements on Arma II state "Quad Core CPU or fast Dual Core CPU (Intel Core 2.8 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ or faster)". Should be okay with a E8400/E8500/E8600 but I wouldn't use any AMD dual cores. Ghostbusters game looks fun, these games are good reasons to save for a current build. Should be okay with the dual cores I mentioned in every game currently available and for at least another year.

you gonna have to overclock that E8000 series dual core alot to be able to compete with my i7 performance :D

You would have gotten way better performance if you went with E8400 and a 4870x2 instead. Anyways, I believe if those are the requirements it's probably not optimized well.

LOL it's ok...he's proud of it...whatever.

I wonder if bragging about your rig puts you in the same class as somebody bragging about their car...hmmm....

I don't really get that SLI part, so you can run it "high" with a single GTX 260, but you need SLI 9800GTX+, GTX 275, 285, 290 (which doesn't exist yet, right?), 295...etc

Those stats mean nothing, if this is a poorly optimized game or not we will know on release. This game is not even close to a new benchmark game which currently should be Farcry 2. Crysis is poorly optimized so it does not count.

Don't forget dual core / core 2 duo has been out for some time. PC's advance quiet considerably. Quad Core or I7 is becoming today's new standard. PC gaming is a neverending cycle of upgrades. It has always beenthe most expensive gaming platform.

I don't question your i7 is more powerful than the Intel E8000 series dual cores, but that doesn't mean that games will recognize all 4 cores thereby taking advantage of the power. Most games don't recognize all 4 cores still, so actual performance is on par with the E8000 series until games really start to utilize quad cores.
