Hey everyone, don't really post on Gamespot much but anyway, i wonder who remembers this classic game, with great gameplay, a hilarious storyline and characters etc, and some of the best multiplayer i've seen.

I just recently installed it again and there are a few people who play this still using gamespy arcade, you have to use it to find servers for this game, and occasionaly there will be a game with a few people going, but i was wondering if anyone would want to try and get a game going.

There's nothing like a three-way match, with a few mecc's, some sea reapers, and one giant Kabuto :D, anyway if you fancy a game reply and will see about getting one going, there's always a dedicated server up from GiantsWD.org, so that's a start.

I remember the demo of this. At the time they hailed it as the most beautiful game ever made....ah it was like the Crysis of its day!!

Too bad the demo didn't allow you to play as the girl! Or mermaid...or whatever she was.

Hey, maybe so but to be honest from what i've played again since just re-installing the mecc's have the funnies story-line and probably best gameplay, but not sure.

Did the demo have multiplayer, we need to play this multiplayer people!

They released another demo where you do get to play as the reapers.

G:CK was brilliant. Not only was it well written, but the combination of shooter and strategy elements made for unique and fun gameplay.

Giants Citizen Kabuto is one of the best games I've ever played (single player anyway) - highly recommended.

It's takes a while for action to properly get going though.

I loved the multiplayer.

It was unbalanced like crazy, but thats probably one of the things that made it so fun.

I got to the end of the first part (playing as the dudes with the jetpacks) and grew bored.

I had it for the PS2 and I loved the game. I think I lost it though because I can't find it now.

It's a great game with funny story but unfortunately it's quite buggy.

You can get it for a couple dollars on Amazon - my discs broke a couple years back and I got a new copy. It's one of the best games ever produced, back when games meant something and weren't simply a paycheck for a publisher. If you like it, check out Armed & Dangerous - also made by Planet Moon.

It was an awesome game with a weird, wonderful quirky sense of humor and the courage to explore and experiment with different play styles. It's one of those games that deserves a lot more praise and recognition than it gets.... Now I'm going to see if I can't find the old disks...

It's quite an enjoyable game - the storytelling is quite humorous and can catch a player's interest, and its gameplay is incredibly varied and unique.

Plus, boobs.

Great game, I remember buying Sacrifice the same time I bought Kabuto, both had great art styles.

Apparently some of the Shiny team developed Citizen Kabuto, which would explain the similarity. Sacrifice is one of a very small handful of games from that period which is installed on my PC; it's absolutely perfect for netbook gaming too.

You can buy Giants for $6 on GOG.com if people are still looking for a place to pick it up.

I knew of it back when it was new, but didn't own it until fairly recently, when it was up on Good Old Games. Fun game, and with a pretty good sense of humor to boot-though the post-Mecc part of the singleplayer starts feeling like a multiplayer tutorial in disguise.

Didn't Shiny also make Messiah? That was a pretty interesting game :P
