Im kinda new to Steam. Do you have to have both CSS & HL2 to play G-Mod, or just HL2? And if it ever does update again, say like it goes to G-mod version 11, do i have to pay for it again? Thanks.
you need HL2 and HL:2 deathmatch which is free if you have HL:2 to play gmod 9. If you want to play gmod 10 which you have to buy off steam Im pretty sure its standalone game
Ok well lets get started with the problems... I downloaded Garry's mod 9 and all that jazz. Then I went onto my Steam and it said garry's Mod 9 was installed so I launched the game. It loaded up just the backround image and then it beeped and went back to the desktop saying "Mountfilesystem(241) failed: SteamMountFilesystem(3644,241,0x1746fc74=,0x1764fd74) failed with error 5: No Steam Content Servers are availible" I was and still am very confused maybe its my computer I don't know. I only have Half-life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One. If someone could give advice that would be greatfully appreciated! :)
