God I feel stupid now..

Had a day off yesterday, and I decided to stop by my favorite game dealer for a new game to play all day.. Saw C&C 3 sitting on the shelf at a nice 19.99$ bargain price.

Took it home, installed it excited to the idea of indulging myself in a sea of happy gaming goodness.. progress bar is done, install complete, run game!!! " You need to have C&C Tiberium wars installed to play this game". Took a good look at the box.. Wrath of Kane EXPANSION.. hell.. how stupid was I to overlook these big white letters right on top of the box!

Since my local store does not accept returns on software, I am stuck with a 20$ paperweight until I find C&C 3..

This ever happened to anyone?

it happened to me four times in different games first was age of earth 2-?? i forget it,that wants to installed age of earth 2 and second i can remember that was red alert 2---somthing,, it also need red alert 2 installed in the pc.

try to sell ur dvd anyone who hasC&C Tiberium wars installed in his pc.

ya this happened to me, when the orange box came out i couldnt give a schmack about portal or tf2, so i bought the hl2 expansions pack, thinking it included hl2. it didnt:(

i looked for ages for a copy of hl2 then, but i knew deep down i would eventually have to get the orange box. so i did. at least im happy now:)

That happened to me once...I think it was for the game Sydnicate...didn't realize it was the expansion and not the full game. Though it was like $4.99 in a bargain bin so it was a realatively painless lesson :P

it happend to me once, i bought BF1942 road to rome... not realising i needed the original.... it was years ago though. i also nearly did it with Diablo 2 LOD... i didnt realise i was picking up the expansion till i took it to the desk and the guy asked if i had the original and i was like... errr.... no?

i felt like a tit after both instances
