:idea: I wish microsoft, sony, and nintendo develop some kind of emulator hardware for playing their consoles game over a PC (PCI-EX card maybe).

Hardware is not what's needed, software is... and licensing... and they have no reason to.

The hardware is currently too complicated to emulate on PC. Even last gen consoles emulating on PC are really buggy. However there is an emulator for Wii out right now but it only supports like 5 games properly.

its getting there though, and it would be much better with a dedicated team of programmers working on it as a full time job. But... I dont see why the console makers would want to do it.

Definitely just play PC games on your pc. To emulate, your pc needs to be several times the power of the console being emulated (I heard it was around 5 to 10 times the power of the console) so 360/ps3 emulation is a while off. Even ps2 emulation is successful with only a selected catalogue of games (although compatability is increasing).
