good card choice?

im looking at the geforce 8600 512 mb version, or the 8800 512 mb, is it a good choice? i dont really want to spend more than 250 dollars, in that ball park.

what is the longevity of this card? will it be out of date in a few months? what should i wait for?

I would recommend this card since it pwns those you have listed. But as mastershake575 said what is your power supply and why are you comparing cards that are worth less then half your targeted price range?

i have a 380 watt supply, well then i guess the 8800 GTS withthe 512 mb would be ok?codemasterzxc

i have a duo core with two 3.0's, 2 gb of ram, running a new asus board, it has pci express, i dont mind bumping down the resolution to be honest, its no deal for me, i dont have any new games really right now, so i play them at high res, thanks for all the helpcodemasterzxc
