Hello, I'am planning on overclocking my CPU and GPU. What is a good cooler that will keep me stable with mild overclocking? My specs are in sig but heres more info on my CPU: Q6700 @ 2.66Ghz. Also what would be recommended to overclock to with the suggested cooler(s). Ex: 3Ghz.

Thanks, taylor

3 ghz is nothing for a good modern cooler... i suggest: Noctua NH-U12P Coolermaster V8 Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme Prolimatech Megahalems Xigmatek HDT-S1283V Dark Knight any of these will do 3.4 without a sweat

Thermalright ultra 120 extreme is the best cooler, well the best convenient cooler. There is one that is better it's the coolermasterv12 or v10, but it's HUGE. 3.0ghz is nothing btw, with a g0 like that you should hit 4 ghz. You have no excuses :) My QX6700 (X=extreme edition) is the first quadcore, they are all B3, which means they overclock for crap, as they came out 3 years ago. I got it to 3.85 ghz, but due to electro migration 3.7 ghz now :( Anyway, put 2 fans on the thermalright ultra 120 extreme, one on the front and one on the back for a "cross flow" fan configuration. I put 2xsilverstone 110cfm fans.

I have a Noctua NH-U12P (push/pull set-up) and get 4.33Ghz on my E8500 so I can recommend this but I have read that the Titan Fenrir (TTC-NK85TZ) is even better.
