the best deal in the world is a Hyper 212+. amazing well no, BEST ocer for the price. its within a MEGAhelm's power with the mega having a kaze on there. its only like 3C hotter. but for the amazing price of 30$ a steal.Wildedge93
+1 to this. The Hyper 212+ will trump the AC7 Pro nine ways from Sunday, and it's only a few dollars more after shipping.
lmao, conesdanially i dont no how to spell :P but i got the ANTEC 900 case 1 and i have this cooler of course :D but yes it is very quiet when its idling and even when its on a full load as well. but i have full fans in my case so i dont no what setup u have. but fitting it in there was a tad bit tricky, i had to mod my side fan alittle by cutting it but nothing to big. i can post some pics if u would like.
Edit: idk why it came out black. Also i want to mention that i oced my cpu which is a E7400 to 3.36 GHz and its at temps of 25C and 41C load. very good cooler, im thinking of doing a push pull setup with it.
Im thinking im going to go with the Hyper 212+. The only things im concerned about is the noise and the size. Would it be much louder than a stock cooler and would it fit reasonably in an antec 900 case?jak522
At it's lowest speed, it's silent in comparison to the 900's fans set on low, but cranking it up beyond 1.5K RPM will make it noticably audible, and possibly annoying depending on your noise tolerance.
As for the noise in comparison to the stock cooler, Intel's stock cooler is exceptionally quiet, so the Hyper 212+ will definitely lose in terms of noise at full speed. However, at any fixed noise level given by the stock cooler, the Hyper 212+ will win a temperature war by a very good margin.
do you know if i have to remove my motherboard to mount it if so if that common for most pc coolers?jak522yea u have to, so u can mount the brackets on teh back of the mobo of the front to get a support for the cooler.
Like everyone suggested 212+ is great and you def get low temps, but it got noisier than before, yet not to a noticeable level though. Because usually you'd be playin music/video/games. And I also had to take off one of my side fans to fit that cooler in my case.
Oh and in some cases you dont have to take the MB off, if there's an opening at the back, you can install the bracket w/o removing the MB.
he said he has a antec 900. so yes he does, and u do have to do that for all the coolers. i dont understand why dont u get the 212+? i mean it fits in ur antec just take off the side fan and problem is solved.Like everyone suggested 212+ is great and you def get low temps, but it got noisier than before, yet not to a noticeable level though. I can imagine a Prolimatech with two kazis wrecking Hyper 212. But, it is too damn loud with one, let alone two.
