Yes, you'll play it pretty much on high/max. It's like the third best 7 series card, apart from the 7900 GTX and the 7950 GX2, so it was a very high end card back then, until the advent of the 8800 series, which pretty much blew EVERYTHING out of the water, where even the SLI'ed setups of the best 7 series can't stand up to a single 8800 GTX.

Spend the extra $1 on a E6320 cpu. I'd also google for deals on the 8800GTS, seen ways to get it for $211.

So you guys think this will be good for really demanding games? Like Oblivion, Doom 3, Comand & Conquer 3, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, F.E.A.R, games like that.

Oblivion and possibly stalker(don't know much about the game) is the only one of those games which will give you any problems. Even if you did get a 8800GTX you'd still have problems with oblivion, well, at least you wouldn't get a solid 60FPS without some serious OC'ing.

So how do you think Oblivion will run on a mixture of high and medium settings? Do you think it will be smooth?

Not having any problems with Oblivion here, EVGA 8800 GTX KO ACS3 is running it like knife through butter.

If it were me, yes, but in all intents and purposes to sufficiently power the system I think the twin 12v rails of 18A is sufficient for your needs.
