256MB PCI-EXPRESS 16x AGP DISPLAY CARD

This...I think, is my video card in my upcoming computer. I want to make WoW look good because on my current one I have a 32MB and it looks crap.

I'm not good with things like this so can someone else tell me if this video card will make WoW graphics good?

We need to know what the cards name is exactly, and a card cant be PCIe and be AGP, could you just link us to whatever it is you want to buy?

well that kind of video card simply cannot exist. will have to tell us more, like: what your comp is, specs of your comp, and who and what model that video card is.

I'm am reading this all from a sheet the guy gave me. Ill put the specs in.

INTEL CORE 2 DUO E2 180 2.2Ghz

GA-945 GCM (X)-S2 GIGABYTEMOTHERBOARD

SOUND & DISPLAY 800FSB 8xAGP SLOT DDR2 RAM SLOTS

1GB DDR2 667MHZ

ATX MIDI TOWER CASE 450W

160GB HAR DRIVE 7200 RPM

Instead of 1GB ram I am getting 2. The computer guy I'm buying it from says it has a good video card already? Anyway, in the list of upgrades there is:

256 MEG RAEDON 9600 8xAPG DISPLAY CARD

and

26 Meg PCI-EXPRESS 16x DISPLAY CARD.

My question is, is there a video card mentioned in the specs? And if not, which of the two optional ones would be the best?

If none of this makes sense, then I can't help because I am copying every word from the list.

This guy is trying to sell you a comptuer that doesn't exist, or won't work. The Gigabyte GA-945GCMX-S2 is a PCI-e only motherboard, there are no AGP slots there.

1GB of RAM is okay, but as cheap as RAM is, you should be getting 2GB.

Bottom line, I wouldn't trust this guy to build your computer. A 26-meg graphics card sounds suspiciously like he's trying to sell the onboard graphics as a feature, which is a load of crap (and won't do very well in World of Warcraft, unless you don't mind low settings). Find a different person to buy from, this guys trying to screw you.

What Rayvin said. And I'd basically like to add that these two "upgrades":

256 MEG RAEDON 9600 8xAPG DISPLAY CARD

and

26 Meg PCI-EXPRESS 16x DISPLAY CARD.

are purely imaginary. In that an AGP card won't work in a PCI-E motherboard. Nor would a Radeon 9600 be worth putting in a computer built today even if did work in a PCI-E motherboard.

And 26 Meg? What's that? Do they mean 26 MB? Maybe they dropped a 5 somewhere. But what card?

Definitely a scam or a rip off. Do yourself a favor. Buy the parts yourself off newegg.com or some similar online retailer and there are scores of people here who can point you to good buys and how to build.

PCI-EXPRESS 16x and AGP are to different mediums. Only one will exist on your motherboard unless by some fluke around 2 or three years ago / some manufacturer decided to put them on one board and calling it "future proof". However, they won't coexist on your board.

I figured there is something like that out there / just like you can buy MOBOs with DDR2 and DDR3 slots. But obviously his board is a stand alone PCI express.

Oh and to answer this guy's question - yes. If you're playing WOW at all with a 32mb Video card then it should be the difference between night and day with that 256mb. Enjoy. :)

256 MEG RAEDON 9600 8xAPG DISPLAY CARD is not a good one. I mean it was good enough in 2003 maybe. But this is 2008.

Do yourself a huge favor. Don't EVER buy used PCs, and certainly not from some stranger on the internet or wherever. Just build a brand new one. It's so cheap to build a PC and you'll have the advantages of better, newer parts with waranties. Unless you're living in a FEMA trailer I see no redeeming value to that computer you're considering.
