You'll get a lot of different answers depending on whom you ask. If you want an RPG, your best bet will be Dragon Age Origins, granted you like WRPGs, personally, I don't, but a lot of people do and you might. For FPS, there are different choices. My favorite is S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Cherynobyl, the single player game is quite good. An FPS that is really underrated is Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. Solid game that is overshadowed by many other games on the market right now.

An RPG game i strongly reccomend is The Witcher, its a great game and very immersive, not perfect by any means bit still very good. Also Fallout 3 and Oblivion are also top notch, allthough you should check your PC specifications. FPS games id reccomend are Stalker Chadow of Chernobyl, Call of Duty 2 and 4, the great classic that is Half-Life 2, Crysis and FEAR 1.
