Me and a freind want to compare our computers and see who has the better one. So what are some free benchmarking programs that are good. And are there any free game benchmarks. Like a crysis bench for free dl or any other game.:D

there are games that provide such programs, like RE5 for instance. go to nvidia.com and download some of them.

3d mark, which is a very popular benchmarking company, has demos of most of their products, namely Vantage and 3dmark06. 3dmark Vantage is for more recent rigs and has more thorough benchmarks, but 3dmark06 still holds its own.

X3 Terran Conflict Benchmark is probably the biggest one people like running on their systems on the Extreme Overclocking Forums.

What exactly are your and your friend's computer specs? I would suggest some benchmarks such as "Heaven", but that one is specifically designed to test DX11.

Yet it runs maxed (DirectX 10) with 8xAA and with avg fps of 50.4 on my directX 10 system :)

Well, that's because DX11 and all its cool but resource-eating features such as tesselation weren't on. Of course it'd run fast. :P
