Good game to buy?

I'm buying a new suped up computer and I'm looking for a game with good graphics and gameplay to buy. I was thinking maybe Company of Heroes or Stalker. But, I'm not the biggest RTS fan and I hear from some people that Stalker is terrible. What do you guys think? Any other good games that I could get?

P.S. I already have Oblivion for the 360 and HL2 if you guys were thinking those.

Between the two choices you've proposed I'd have to say Company of Heroes

I'm not amassive RTS player myself, (FPS ftw!)and found CoH highly enjoyable and user-friendly while maintaining a high standard of gameplay.

You really shouldn't waste (your) time playing games you don't like.

You don't like RTS, so I'm not going to recommend them.

You say you heard that some people think Stalker is terrible. An opinon is an opinon, you won't know unless you try the game itself (unless you worship those people).

I'm not really sure what type of games you're into, but you sound like you'd prefer FPS. You could try F.E.A.R or the new Battlefield.

Between to two Company of Heroes is the better game. As somebody said above STALKER is good but it lacks polish. Specifically tehre are alot of non-critical but irritating bugs. If you havent played FEAR, HL2, or Call of Duty 2 go play them first. I am about to get into ARMA, but that maybe too tactical for you. I dont know if you like that or not.

If you dont like RTS is hard to recommend COH. In its defense COH is different than other RTS because it focuses on holding terrirory and group tactics rather than on basic troop rushes.

You didnt say 'offline'. In terms of online FPS I personally like Battlefield 2142. But thats just me.
