I was wandering what games are available for good value on PC?
I like RPGS like final fantasy and FPS games and basically most genres like racing games, simulation, management etc so any suggestions are welcome.

I just recently picked up Prey (FPS) for $19.99. It's not the greatest game out there, but it was entertaining enough to keep me occupied for a good 6-8 hours. Also the fact of how you can walk on special platforms that go up the walls and across the ceilings....it really messes with your mind and takes a little bit of getting used to.
If you don't have The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, see if you can find a copy of the game of the year edition (it'll cost you $20 or so). It's a bit dated (4 or 5 years old now???) but it is a very entertaining first person RPG. You can find tons and tons of mods for it or you can create your own with the construction kit provided with the game.
Perhaps you might want to see about picking up Fable, another RPG type game. Can probably find it for $20 or so. I've played the Xbox version and it was pretty fun, I have yet to try the updated/extended version that came out on PC.
Cool, I havent tried fable, I have Oblivion on 360 but will look around, I like the final fantasy type games so does anybody know of ones like this on PC? cheers for suggestionsWiip3outWell, for JRPG's you can check out Final Fantasy XI: The Vana’diel Collection for the PC. It's 15 bucks over at amazon. But there's a monthly fee. Fable: Lost Chapter for the PC is great and I would highly recommend that. Also, if you like the Hockey, NHL East Side Manager is one of the best sports management games around for very cheap. Gogamer.com always has blow out sales on tons and tons of games for very cheap.
siiigh. if only tribes or tribes 2 was still around. that would've kept you busy for hours and hours.DeluminaiI love Tribes, does anyone still play it? I picked up Vengeance, but it didn't come close to the amount of fun I had with Tribes 2.
Maybe checkout GameTap. They have like 800+ games. Lots of classics from the old school plus FarCry, and RPG's like Baudler's Gate I+II, Icewind Dale, Might & Magic series, Phantasy Star I+II+III, Ultima I-IV, and several otheres. They've also got a nice line up of strategy games as well. Nothing brand new but a good assortment of games that will likely keep you busy for sometime. They also seem to be adding more quite frequently. Not a bad service and they may offer a free trial or at least a cheap trial.DuaneDogCool, is this a rental thing? Im in the UK so if there is anyt cheap games online that would be helpful. Cheers for advise :)
Star Wars: Republic Commando is a great game for $15, Half Life 2: Episode 1 is a fantastic game for $20, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is dirt cheap @ $10 and has one of the best single palyer and multiplayer components I've ever played, There's always Starcraft and brood war for $20, ummmm.... Call of Duty and United offensive is $30 and totally kick ass... that about covers it...nerd_rock_riotpretty much nailed it. Republic Commando is a very underknown game
Serious Sam 2 is great. It's relatively new, very cheap, and extremely fun to play. I'd really recommend giving it a try. Here's my review for it.TeuvanYou obviously have not played the original encounters. If you had, you'd realilze how much of a disappointment SS2 was. It's just another prime example of a great pc gamemaker selling out their pc fans to the console industry.Â
FEAR
UT2K4 (tons of mods too)
Serious Sam 1
Deus Ex 1
Half-Life 2 (lots of promising awesome mods coming out)
