Vegas with 256 ram......

Get 1 or 2 gb ram.

A cheap intel core duo.

Geforce 7900GS

XFX Nforce 650 Motherboard.

All this and the other necessary things maybe are a bit more than 1000$, well that depends but otherwise you wont be able to play Vegas witch is a game that requires very much.:)

I have a pentium D 3.4Ghz 2 GB ram and a Geforce 7300se and I cant play it so I'm getting a 7900Gs.

I wouldn't recommend going for that generation of graphics card. Not hardly any difference from the 6th generation. If you have the money, try going for the new 8th generation, there will be a huge difference.

Well it is either the 7900 or the 8800gts if you want to play games.
