Well, CTR monitors are the best gaming monitors, hands down. They are that because they refresh the whole screen the fastest. But they are huge, im on a Dell 19" monitor right now, and this thing is near 2 1/2' long. But if you want a gaming lcd monitor, i dont know. Newegg is the best source for both of them.

if any of you know of such a site let me know or what your opinion is best Lcd monitor and why

look for lcd monitors with a response time of 8ms or below. the lower the response time, the better.

And the more your refresh rate on a CRT the less sharp the picture.

Nothing, if the picture isn't better than you still have low ms. Something possitive.

thanks guys this has all been very helpful,i will still monitor this thread so if you have anythign else new to add just let me know.

I'm not too concerned with the price..i just wanted to know the guages by which the monitors were tested and examined under so i'm glad i got that link to the pc world which i can see their tests seem descent rather than "the montor is cheap ands slick" which i don't consider proper reviews

I say Dell SP2208WFP or BenQ G2200W. The samsung one posted earlier looked pretty good aswell.
