Two 560's (Ti version and non-Ti) in SLI will out perform a single 570 in almost all games. The only games that the 570 would come out ahead are those that don't support SLI which most games today do support. You just need to make sure that your mobo supports SLI and that your PSU is big enough.

The 560ti is definitely more bang for your buck, but the 570 is more powerful. Is the 570 worth the $50ish increase in price? That's up to you. To me it wasn't so I went with the 560ti with plans to SLI it later.

that was what i was thinking but will one 560 ti or 570 run battlefield 3 on MAX or at least high enough i wont notice the difference from consoles ? because thats why i want a killer GPU im leaning more twards nvidia but my guess is no right ? if not will 1 580 ti superclocked do the trick ?

A single 560ti will run BF3 basically maxed. I run BF3 at the highest settings with 16x AA and 16x AF at 1080p at 60+ frames per second. It looks better than the consoles (I have BF3 on PS3)

Yeah, I call BS here, I doubt a single 560Ti will max BF3 with 16x AA. And no one has BF3, it hasn't come out yet.

Edit: To TC, if you are going to get a 570, get a EVGA Classified or Asus Direct CU II. You can do some extreme overclocking with those.

I mean bc2 hahaha my bad :P I can basically max out Bad Company 2, NOT bf3 hahaha sorry for the confusion lol I know I wont be able to max out BF3 with my current set up which is why I plan to SLI the 560ti. Again, I can basically max out out Bad Company 2, and not BF3.

I'd say you should get a 570 and stick with it until Black Friday when you can get another for cheap and SLI those.

Even though SLI 560 Ti's will outperform a single 570, only one 570 is good enough to play like 95% of games on max with a decent (30 or more) framerate and 60 for most, or so I hear (its not like I own 100% of games to prove this).

are you sure? because im looking at a sparkle GeForce GTX 580 1.5 DDR5 and one of those monsters will run crysis 2 at very high+ AA+ HD res at a steady 35-40 fps. the reason im not sure which one to get is because 2 560 ti sli is more than a single 580.

6950 2gb toxic edition, is way faster than a 560ti, it beats a 570 gtx at stock, and it also has a bios switch so you can change it to a 6970 that when overclocked beats the 580 gtx. The cost is around $270 and you get 2 free games. Deus ex and dirt 3. If you crossfire the 6950, they are known to beat a 570 sli combo very easily, and this toxic edition will probably approach a 580gtx sli.

Two 560 Ti's in SLI will beat out a single GTX 580 in most games. There is the occasional game that comes out that doesn't support SLI (or has crappy scaling) that the 580 would be better but for the most part the 560 Ti's will outperform a single 580. It is just a matter of what you want. Before you decide to go the SLI route make sure you read up on it (there are pro's and con's for SLI) and look at plenty of reviews.

On Dx9 it will but not in Dx11, Crysis 2 can get really sluggish at Dx11 with everything on Ultra.

Go away, AMD is not in this discussion. If he is looking to SLI, he is not going to have a CF mobo.

Yeah but the crossfire scaling is much better than sli scaling, that's why the faster gtx 570 opposed to the hd 6950 get's a beating from the 6950 when you double up the cards. Sli is only reasonable when you already have an nvidia card or when you plan to double up two gtx 580 or gtx 590. In other cases like with a gtx 560 or gtx 570 is just not wise to not go amd because you get a lot more bang from the buck from amd in the mid-high end crossfire solutions.

get the 570 and keep saving with the money you would have spent on two 560's to get another 570 later. My 470s are boss and more powerful than a single 580 so you won't regret 570 SLI.
