Obsidian Conflict, you can play hl2, hl2 ep1, hl2 ep2 in coop. It's much better than synergy, and it has loads of custom maps. In fact I host a 24/7 dedicated server for that mod, you should try it out.
Insurgency is a great multiplayer mod. So is Dystopia. Synergy along with Obsidian Conflict are great co-op type mods. Ravenholm is a pretty good extention of the short part of HL2.
