you can get a 42 hdtv for 700-800 if you pay attention to message board deal websites.

I would wait. Remember that HDTV's below 40 inch are generally made with a cheaper panel. Anything above 40 inch is considered living room set and most manufacturers put better components in the set. I wouldn't even consider going below 37"...I have a 23inch Samsung HDTV that I bought and its a great extra set to pull out...but I would never want to use it as my primary tv/game set. If you are setting average 6 to 8 feet from the set...go 40 inch.

u should save up for a bigger one. two years ago i bought a 27` 720p/1080 hdtv for 350 bucks this past year i got a 47` 1080 p hdtv with a tv stand and a 3 year warrenty for 1400. needless to say i never watch my little hdtv anymore because my ps3 is hooked up in the living room now on the biggin. unless u want a bed room tv i would wait.

by the way walmart.com has the 47` tv i bought. its the magnavox 47`1080p for 1150 by the time u save up it could be even cheaper.. also guy next store has a 46` 1080 p sony bravia he paid 2500 for. and i would put mine beside his and hide the names and 80 out of 100 people wouldnt know which is which.
