i know ur gonna say get a PC but i want to play pc games and do everything else when travelling (and i travel alot). So can anyone suggest any laptops for gaming??

If your looking for something under $2,000 there is a Toshiba Satellite p100 built for gaming.  Make sure you buy a laptop that is designed for gaming otherwise you aren't going to be happy.

For 2000$, you can get yourself a very nice laptop for gaming from ibuypower.com, my friend is ordering his from there soon, and for that amount of money, you can get some nice stuff... From Dell, and other mass-producers, you will not get as good...

Actually, the e1705 from Dell is a better value, and better performer, than ibuypower's notebooks.

yep agree there. I have been looking at lappies lately, cause my mom wanted one, DELL has the best deals out there for performance and bang for the buck. But I got her to go desktop XPS710, instead of the XPS M2010. Now its a E6600, 4x1gb, 500gb HDD. Shes a designer, comes with a 7900gs, which the only game she plays in Sims 2 and sim city.

my budget is around £1500 i was thinking of getting a sony vaio which was around £1200.

My friend got this and its nice, very nice. We played Quake 4 on it.
