I have been looking around on amazon, and i have no idea which to choose. Right now i want the best $25-50 headset i can find, and i have found a lot. But a lot of the time, the reviews may be outdated. While watching a review of an originally 4 star headset, everyone in the comments were complaining that the durability of the headset was horrible. So, ill let Gamespot help me out.

What is the best $25-50 headset?

Popular combos are Sennheiser HD201 or HD202and a Zalman mic. Also a few other headphones by other companies if you don't like the Sennheiser's look. For 25-50 there won't be much of a difference, and its smarter to buy headphones and mic seperate.

Think they have new models of those headphones out now though. I'll post them if I see them.

In that price range I'd probably get a used pair of Audio Technica ATH-M40s.

Yeah they're closed back headphones but I'm willing to bet you'll still be very impressed with the sound for gaming, music, as well as movies. Read the reviews.

Also, don't be put off by "used" headphones. I bought a used pair and when they arrived to me they looked and sounded brand new. not a single piece of lint on them and they still needed to be broken in.

They're dirt cheap and tend to be very easy to mod, but most people do a fair amount of changes from their stock, not to mention they might not be that comfortable for long periods of time, which is why many tend to add a band. I don't think TC has any of that in mind, especially if he doesn't know how to re-cable/DIY.

You can do far better for the money; ChubbyGuy40 has the right of it, but it's your call. I'm very happy with the HD202s. Boz
