Lord of the Rings Online is a great Free-to-play MMO if your not looking to spend a lot of money Rift is also a great MMO. It had one of the best releases of any MMO and content is well kept and updated. It's a nice change from World of Warcraft (which is an option as well). Eve Online and League of Legends (Free) are also fairly good. Those are the major players in the realm of MMO. Pick one and enjoy.
I have tried LoL and I didn't really like it that much. I'm not much of a strategy gamer. I would like to play wow but I really don't want to pay 15$ a month. Think i'm gonna give Eve online a try.

Pretty much all the good ones are $15 a month. LOTRO is the best F2P one (LoL is not MMO), because it started as a P2P. The P2P option I think is still good, but F2P is kind of bad. You can unlock things F2P but it's a real grind.
Think im just going to wait around for Guild Wars 2.

That is your best option but it'll be a while. :) I'm also waiting for it too, but I will be playing SWTOR in the mean time. $15 is a small price to pay for a game that you can play for hours and hours. Usually, when I play MMOG's, I don't have time to play other games anyways which is good and bad.
Think im just going to wait around for Guild Wars 2.

That is true but I like the one time payment for GW2 and it looks like an amazing game, so guess I will just have to wait a while. Do you know when it will be out ?

I could almost say I would pay to get an official release date. :P The game still needs to go through beta testing which is rumored to happen in Q1-Q2, which could only mean a Fall-Winter release time window. I'm only speculating though. If things go really well and get ironed out efficiently, it could come out sooner. I would guess late 2012.
