Anybody know good old first person shooters or shooters in general? By old I mean probably nothing newer than 2003-2004.

The graphics are pretty dated now, but it's still a good game if you can look past that. I don't know about online anymore, because I've not played MP for quite a while.

Yeah, Operation Flashpoint is a great game. I played the one called Cold War Crisis. It's a fun game, really realistic. Doubt anybody plays online. Anyways, thanks to the people for your posts. I'll look into some of those games.

Yeah, played them both. Max Payne series is great and Mafia is my favorite game of all time. Have both games. Finished all three games.

Wow some else remembers Cyclones, it was my first FPS game. Did anyone else have a problem with the end where you come out side the game in a weird way and you fall down into the last room.

I highly recommend STV: Elite Force - my all time fav game.

Red Faction isn't really that good, but it was the first game with destructible enviroments :)

Slight correction it's Quake III Arena, apart from that - a perfect list.

I also recommend Max Payne 1 & 2 :)

I think Half life 2 might sneek in the list as it was released in 2004

Random Comment - Dues Ex is STILL sitting on my shelf unopened and unplayed :(

Compared to some games even in recent years, it was decent enough. Driving the vehicles was fun, as well as throwing explosive packs onto the backs of enemies and watching them run around in a panic. :D

Yeah, my finger got stuck. :(

Then do yourself a favour, open it and play it. It's a great game. :)

Does it have to be old because of performance restrictions or are you just looking for the old school feel? Either way I'd recommend Shootmania Storm. Old school Quake/Unreal Tournament feel and on low graphics can be played on just about any gaming pc.

Have you actually played Shootmania? It's a pretty bold statement to say only one person in the world likes a game.

Old thread but the first Half-Life is still the best single player FPS ever.
