Fallout, Descent, Freespace, MDK, SHOGO, Sacrifice, Lionheart, Shattered Steel, Jagged Alliance 2 and a bunch of others.
You're welcome :D

is fallout tactics worth it or needed to understand anything? or should i just go with 1 & 2? :) i've heard so much about the old fallouts, i figured i'd give them a go.

Yes very happy about this. I was all so close to buying a bulk of these games recently. Happy I held off. Like most people am super excited about the steam summer sale coming soon but this is easily just as good.

Tactics had great combat, but is more of a strategy game than an RPG. It doesn't add much of anything to the overall plot, and I'd recommend playing the first two first.
do you download or get physical copies with gog? first time using... :)
PcGamingRig
They're download-only, but you can download them as many times as you like and install them as many times as you like. There's no copy-protection at all for any game on GOG, so you can play offline or do whatever you like to them.

Download, and every single one of their games is completely drm free.
thanks. :)They've got SHogo Mobile Armor Division, anyone remember that game? classic! It probably sucks nnow though :(.
I had all these games back in the days. Too bad CD-Roms suck so bad, i don't think any of them still work.
Masculus
I also have several of those on CD, but I'm still buying them again ;). I had problems on newer system with Messiah for example, so the GoG versions should be hassle-free. 17 games = 50$ - didn't plan to spend that much today...
Descent or Fallout? Hmm tricky.
Im dissapointed there is no Lost Vikings in that list.
Can you get the prices in £ sterling, or shall I just assume its about £2?

They convert to euros when you buy. Unlike Steam :P
And get Descent. I personally didn't care much for Fallout (only played about an hour of it; I liked Baldur's Gate better xD). But Descent 1+2 still stand up VERY well. 3 less so; I saw it as a disappointment compared to the greatness of 2. 2 also has a pretty active online community if you use a program like kqwery (sp?).

If I get Descent im going to need a joystick. It will be wrong otherwise.

It'll have to be an older joystick though. Descent 1 will play fine on anything, but D2's extra movement options (the hat, mostly), refuse to bind themselves to most modern sticks (or bind and then don't work in-game). I found it very disappointing. I even used to have the old joystick I used playing them years and years ago on DOS, but it turned out my brother had somehow mangled it in the interrim when he was a toddler, so...
D2 still works well if you use the keyboard for sliding. D1 and D3 don't have problems.
People need to get Sacrifice, I tried it out and now it's overshadowing my playthrough's of Alice and TW2. I didn't think a game like this existed, absolutely fantastic. I also heard good things about Citizen Kabuto, which is made by the same developers. So many great games on sale.

ShimmerMan
It's still fun, you'd think the visuals would detract from the game but the dated look gives it a certain charm that has only been strengthened over the years. If nothing else it's a nice distraction from all the modern shooters coming out this year, well worth $3.
